In more than 160 countries GRE revised General Test is available at more than 700 test centres. Being offered all the year as computer based test at most locations around the world, with paper based test being offered only three times a year.

Tips to Remember

One is responsible for bringing valid and acceptable identification when reporting to a test center. Additionally, one is responsible, for "The Name being used, When Registering," for ensuring that the name used to register exactly matches the name on the ID document(s) being presented at the test center.

In India

You MUST present a valid passport in ORIGINAL with your name, photograph and signature as your primary ID document. There are no exceptions to this policy.

1. Be an original document; photocopied documents are not acceptable.

2. Be valid; expired documents (bearing expiration dates that have passed) are not acceptable.

3. Bear the test taker's full name exactly as it appears on the admission ticket.

4. Bear a recent photograph that clearly matches the test taker.

5. Bear the test taker's signature.

In Other Countries

The following ID documents are acceptable for admission to a test center within your country of citizenship:

1. Passport

2. Government-issued driver's license

3. State or Province ID card (including those issued by the motor vehicle agencies)

4. National ID card
